I knew Kim in high school but I got a chance to know her a little more after school. I used to work with her husband Ricky Brown and I would sometimes hang out with them at different functions. Kimberly was a beautiful woman in every way. She was so loving, kind, and open hearted. May she rest in peace.
Kim was one of my best friends all through high school and in our adult lives. She was a warm and outgoing person who never met a stranger. She had a wonderful sense of humor that left us gasping for breath from laughing so hard at her many jokes. She was so much fun to hang out with whether it was throwing a mattress in the back of my station wagon and heading to the beach or just hanging around the house. We used to blast the stereo and dance around her living room until we collapsed from exhaustion, then get up and do it again!
She passed away a few months before our 10th reunion. Sadly, I could not bring myself to attend as I was reunited with many classmates at her funeral and it would have seemed strange without her there.
I think about Kim often and although it's been 10 years, some days I still can't believe she is gone. She was very much loved by her friends and family and we will keep her in our hearts, always!
